There are many reasons why North Americans choose to move to another state or even the other country. On a continent of 10 million square miles, there are many beautiful places to relocate, even if it’s just to get a change of scenery.

Ontario, Canada

Ontario offers a high standard of living and has thousands of job opportunities with attractive salaries.  The cost of living in Ontario is relatively expensive, but if you find yourself in the right job as a professional, the competitive income will balance outgoings. 


The first thing one has to be mindful of when changing states or countries are the hosts’ legislature. The team at advises that you cannot drive without an Ontario driver’s license or plates. Fortunately, the process of getting an Ontario driver’s license is relatively simple. 


Multiculturalism is part of the Canadian ethos. While you dont need to abandon your cultural roots, you should evolve for maximum success. In diversity, there should be integration. As you want to be accepted for who you are, you need to make an effort to embrace other cultures to enrich your life.

Ontario is one of the biggest provinces in Canada, covering over a million square miles. It has more than 250,000 lakes and contains about 20% of the world’s freshwater supplies. The availability of this makes it a prime location for water sports.



Ontario is best known for the Niagra falls. Under normal conditions, it draws people from far and wide all year long. They come to see the tallest waterfall in the world and the mesmerizing deluges gushing over it.

The first thing you should know about the Austinites is that they love griping about transplants. They have a beautiful city, and they love it. 


Texans don’t pay income tax. Thus the cost of living is cheaper. The latter is a significant benefit that makes relocating to the Lone Star State worth your while.


Barbecuing is a sincere business. Whether it is in a restaurant or served from a food truck, it is done in a revered style and embraced. Don’t compare Texans’ barbecue to other places if you don’t want to be the next portion of meat to go onto the grill.


Austin has a culture of food trucks. So if you like your lunches light, convenient, and on the go, then it’s just the place for you.


Tech is booming in Austin. If you are a specialist in the field, then this could be a positive career step. By the way, this is the main reason many transplants have relocated to Austin. 


Air conditioning is an essential utility here.


Austin continues to beat its own records every year. It has some of its hottest days top the thermometer at 100 degrees. Even if you are attuned to heat, it gets unbearable.


You dont need to find a friend with a pool, thanks to Barton springs. It is a budget outdoor swimming facility that draws the Austinites in their droves. 

Dress Code

The heat doesn’t permit formal wear, which is probably why people out here tend to dress casually.  Minimize your suit collection before moving as it will be more of a hindrance than anything else.

Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City sits on the border between  Kansas and Missouri and is a cultural hub. This city is best known for its jazz heritage, barbecue, and fountains. 

People Here Are Friendly.

The Kansas folk are a mixed bucket but tend to accept newcomers more than other cities in America. They have a no-fear optimistic approach to life, and it tends to rub off. If you are tired of the starchy white-collar way of life, it is an excellent place to be.

Affordable Accommodation

One of the upsides of moving to Kansas City is the conservatively priced housing. Relative to many other cities in America, they’re more economical.

The downtown area of Kansas City comes alive at night. The Power & Light District’s KCLive Block hums with activity as sports watchers, along with club and restaurant patrons, emerge to fill the night air with festivities.


First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District abounds with street musicians, performers, and food trucks. There are art galleries in abundance to indulge your creative side. 


If you are unfamiliar with the concept; First Fridays are Arts and Culture-oriented events hosted by certain towns on the first Friday of every month.

So Where Do You Choose?


Of all the cool places a person could live, a home is where the heart is. Whether it’s Ontario, Austin, or Kansas City, you dont always plan on finding that special place. Sometimes it just finds you.
